The World Music Expo, WOMEX, is the world’s number one forum dedicated exclusively to world, roots, folk, ethnic, traditional, local and diaspora music of all kinds. The last 13 editions of WOMEX in Berlin (1994), Brussels (1995), Marseilles (1997), Stockholm (1998), Berlin (1999 & 2000), Rotterdam (2001), Essen (2002),  Seville (2003), Essen (2004), Newcastle Gateshead (2005) and Seville (2006, 2007 & 2008) have proven the value and potential of cross-boarder networking in order to overcome musical, political, cultural or commercial boundaries. IMZ is pleased to invite you to Copenhagen for the IMZ World Music Film Screenings at WOMEX, taking place from 28 October - 1 November 2009. Presented for the eighth time in cooperation with WOMEX the screenings aim at connecting the film and TV markets for world music. So don't just open your ears, open your eyes, too, and enjoy the selection of documentaries and music videos, which will be curated by the IMZ out of the numerous applications!

If you are a producer, organise a festival, have a DVD label or are just interested in world music documentaries, the IMZ World Music Film Screenings are your place for worldwide discoveries. It is your place to get in contact with film-makers presenting their newest material to TV/film programmers and your meeting point if you want to produce, buy or sell any visual material or plan new visual projects. For film makers it is the best place to get in contact with artists and their representatives.
